What
is iNspect?
iNspect is a high performance, prepackaged inspection solution consisting
of an intelligent camera with a machine vision toolset that can
be applied to a wide range of manufacturing applications. iNspect
provides simultaneous processing on up to 3 independent image views.
Where
can it be used?
All types of manufacturing or production operations that require
verification for quality control such as presence/absence,
part alignment, part measuring, package and content inspection,
etc.
What
makes it easy to use?
iNspect is built on a simple interface framework, with wizard-like
capabilities, that guide users through the setup process. All of
the complexity normally associated with vision algorithms has been
carefully abstracted in favor of more logical and intuitive control.
How
many cameras can iNspect interface simultaneously?
iNspect can interface and process data from 3 cameras simultaneously.
How
many job files can I create?
iNspect supports 32 different job (part) files that can be switched
dynamically, but internal storage can accommodate many more (in
excess of 1,000)
How
is it mounted?
iNspect can be custom mounted or using a standard Din rail.
What
if my production line is miles away?
No problem! Our web browser interface enables you to check the status
of your production line whether it is a few feet or half a world
away.
How
robust is the underlying technology?
Ipd is a division of DALSA Coreco, a leader in machine visioning
systems. Weve utilized that extensive expertise to develop
iNspect.
Do
I need a PLC?
Not necessarily. iNspect has extensive hardware support for part-in-place
detection; strobe illumination; camera trigger; and part counting
for delayed pass, fail and rework part sorting.
How
fast is it?
iNspect can inspect up to 60 parts per second.
How
can I diagnose setup problems?
To make setup and debug easier, iNspect records information on recent
passed, failed and reworked parts; key measures; specifics on which
part failed.
What
if I need help in choosing the correct lighting and lens for my
application?
ipd tools help you with these decisions, and also provides sources
for for ipd qualified parts.
