Vision
Appliances are embedded machine vision solutions that have been
designed to satisfy your current and future inspection needs. They
provide the ease-of-use, performance and flexibility required to
meet the diverse requirements of industrial applications, while
accommodating the needs and experience of end users.
Our newest Vision Appliance, the
IPD VA61, offers users an expandable,
cost-effective solution designed specifically for multi-camera applications.
The unit supports a full range of image resolutions, both mono and
color, together with synchronous or asynchronous triggering options.
The physical camera interface is provided through dedicated Gigabit
Ethernet ports that can be easily expanded using external switches
to support up to 4 or 8 camera configurations. The VA61 supports
DALSA Genie area scan cameras and Spyder 3 line scan cameras.
In addition to lower system costs,
the use of GigE technology offers more flexibility in optimizing
the system configuration. For example, the VA61 controller can be
positioned alongside complementary equipment for ease of integration,
while the cameras can be located up to 100 meters away. This provides
better isolation and protection of costly components in harsh industrial
environments.
For remote or expandable VA61 applications,
DALSA offers an optional interface module, called the DCI-100,
that provides a local electrical interface between DALSA Genie cameras,
industrial power, triggers and I/O. The DCI-100 module can interface
up to 2 Genie cameras.
The
VA61, like all Vision Appliances, provides a powerful and quick-to-deploy
solution for automated quality inspection. Available with standard
(iNspect) or advanced (Sherlock)
application software, this product has been carefully designed to
address the needs of a wide range of industries such as Automotive,
Consumer, Electronics, Packaging, Pharamceutical and more.
The
standard iNspect software provides capabilities for positioning,
identification, verification, measuring and flaw detection. Included
with iNspect is iLabel, an application
designed specifically for the packaging industry that is used for
verifying the placement and quality of labels on packaged goods.
Vision
Appliances are an ideal product solution for both end-users and
integrators of machine vision.
